-Asmen, Tipsa’s reference operator in the Valencian Community, will inaugurate in December in Cheste the second largest hub of the multinational.

-Asmen Group will increase its workforce by 20% in 2022, open its Hungarian plant by the end of the year and operate from Leipzig, Germany, from 2020.

-It currently has a fleet of 300 light vehicles throughout the peninsula.

Grupo Asmen, a leading Valencian company in express transport and integrated logistics, increased its turnover by 8.7% in 2021, exceeding 17.5 million euros in sales.
Regarding the group’s results, its profitability increased by 16.2% compared to the previous year.
Asmen, head operator of the multinational Tipsa in the Valencian Community, forecasts a growth of 10.3% in its activity in 2022.

Thus, at the gates of an international expansion cycle of the company from 2023, it will inaugurate its new facilities in Cheste at the end of this year.
The opening of Asmen’s new logistics hub will become Tipsa’s second most important base in Spain, occupying a plot of 14,000 m2, with a large central warehouse of 10,000 m2, three times the surface area of the current facilities.

Asmen Group’s growth has continued over the past three years, growing from 15 million sales in 2019 to nearly 18 million in the past fiscal year.

Increase in resources

In 2021 Grupo Asmen boosted its equipment and material resources with a 14% increase in headcount, which will become, according to its CEO’s forecast, a 20% increase in workers in 2022.
In 2021 it also grew the fleet by 5 heavy vehicles, 7 light temperature-controlled vehicles and 14 light dry vehicles.
Grupo Asmen currently operates with more than 300 delivery and distribution vehicles in the Iberian Peninsula, covering the entire territory with a maximum positioning margin for loading of two hours, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Asmen also carries out long distance truck traffic from Valencia, with a daily average of five trailers with Madrid, Bailén, Zaragoza and Barcelona, routes that leave daily from its facilities.

In that sense, Luis Frias, CEO at Grupo Asmen, considers that “our company has not been oblivious to the global economic context highly conditioned by the increase in costs derived from energy. As you can imagine, our main cost is fuel, which has increased by 169% since 2020”.

Luis Frías, CEO of ASMEN

Change of location

Grupo Asmen is confident that it will continue to grow thanks to its new facilities – with expansion already scheduled for 2024 – and the group’s internationalization plan.
The new Asmen-Tipsa logistics center -whose construction is being finalized and is already at 100% capacity before opening- will also be a reference for its sustainability values, since it is located in the Cheste Circuit Business Park, the first private initiative logistics park with certified sustainability (GBCe green certificate).
In addition, the facility will have solar panels that will enable energy self-sufficiency.
As part of the collaboration agreement between Asmen and the national operator Tipsa, the new platform will become the regional center of Tipsa’s parcel network in the Valencian Community.
The warehouse will be equipped with 6 loading bays for trailers and 6 for light vehicles.

Asmen Group, new generation logistics

With more than 25 years of experience and led by Luis Frías, Asmen has experienced a constant consolidated growth, from its beginnings in the courier sector, evolving to its current reality as an express parcel company in which all kinds of transport and integral logistics services are offered, being one of its differential services the Critical Service, a 24/7 service.
Since its origin in Valencia, Asmen maintains a strategic plan oriented to internationalization.
Thus, with presence in Portugal – Porto – since 2019, before the end of the year it will open its second headquarters in the Portuguese country with the Lisbon delegation.
In this same process, Asmen operates in Central Europe from its base in Leipzig, Germany, from where it triangulates all its operations in that part of the continent.
In 2023, it will open its new headquarters in Hungary.
