-In autumn, the new platform will also be Tipsa’s regional center in the Valencian Community.
-The operator – also present in Portugal and Germany – will increase its workforce and fleet of vehicles by 20% in the move to its new headquarters.
-It currently operates 300 light vehicles throughout the peninsula.
Asmen, a leading Valencian company in express transport and integrated logistics, will move its activity to new facilities to continue its growth and expansion process.
The new logistics hub of Asmen occupies a plot of 14,000 m2 and will have a large central warehouse of 10,000 m2, three times larger than the current facilities. This new logistics center will also be a benchmark for its sustainability values, as it is located in the Cheste Circuit Business Park, the first private initiative logistics park with certified sustainability (GBCe green certificate).
In addition, the facility will have solar panels that will enable energy self-sufficiency. In turn, as part of the collaboration agreement between Asmen and the national operator Tipsa, the new platform will become the regional center of Tipsa’s parcel network in the Valencian Community.
The warehouse will be equipped with 6 loading bays for trailers and 6 for light vehicles.
Relocation and autumn growth
The relocation operation will take place in autumn because Asmen’s equipment is expected to be operational in its new headquarters between October and November of this year.
In this sense, the CEO of Asmen -Luis Frías- has stated that “we are evolving as a global operator and we are very excited about the new facility as it will allow us to continue improving our service, expand our customer base and grow in business volume”. The main consequence of the new business venture led by Frías is that the company will also increase both its workforce and its fleet of vehicles.
Thus, Asmen expects its workforce to grow by 22%, as well as its light vehicles and trailers.
Currently, Asmen operates with more than 300 delivery and distribution vehicles in the Iberian Peninsula, covering the entire territory with a maximum positioning margin for the load of two hours, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Asmen also carries out long distance truck traffic from Valencia, with a daily average of five trailers with Madrid, Bailén, Zaragoza and Barcelona, routes that leave daily from its facilities. With more than 25 years of experience, Asmen has experienced a constant consolidated growth, from its beginnings in the courier sector, evolving to its current reality as an urgent parcel delivery company in which it offers all kinds of transport and integral logistics services, being one of its differential services the Critical Service, a 24/7 service. Since its origin in Valencia, Asmen maintains a strategic plan oriented to internationalization.
Thus, with presence in Portugal -Oporto- since 2019, before the end of the year it will open its second headquarters in the Portuguese country with the Lisbon delegation.
As part of this same process, Asmen has also just expanded its facilities in Leipzig, Germany, enabling the company to triangulate all its operations in Europe, while it expects to end the year with the opening of a new site in Hungary. [:]
